DAVENPORT, IOWA, December 19, 2023 – The River Bend Food Bank received a $5,000 grant through a national opportunity made available to Mel Foster Insurance. Hastings Mutual Insurance Company Charitable Foundation invites its partners, like Mel Foster Insurance, to nominate a local non-profit for a grant each year. Mel Foster Insurance nominated the River Bend Food Bank for consideration to receive a grant to purchase food to close the meal gap in Scott County, Iowa and Rock Island County, Illinois.
Hastings Mutual Insurance Company Charitable Foundation Grant Program has awarded over $1 million across communities to help people and families grow and prosper. “Mel Foster Insurance wants to impact the communities we serve positively,” said Marc Engels, president of Mel Foster Insurance. “Through combined efforts with partners like Hastings Mutual Insurance Company Charitable Foundation, we can utilize our national connections to make a difference for those in need right here in our community.
